First off, the comic is taking today off. Yes I know that we didn’t update at all last week, but to be honest I just needed to take a day off. I have been working non stop since last Monday and yesterday was my only day to catch up on some much needed rest. I promise I will make it up to you guys, and maybe in the form of an early update on Thursday.
Now to talk a little about Animazement. First, let me thank everyone for stopping by the table and checking out the comic…It’s always great to talk and meet new folks at cons. Anyway, the con moved to the new convention center in downtown Raleigh, which lucky for me I live 15 minutes(with good traffic) from so no hotel needed for me, but of course they blasted me with parking fees. Honestly I like the new convention center and I think the con fits well there. Yeah they had a few problems, but hopefully they took some notes and can next year make it better. The funniest thing I have heard so far is people complaining about the escalators not working! Jeez…I won’t go into it but the escalator scene from Mallrats plays over and over in my head. Anyway, for me personally I was really disappointed in where my table was located in the alley, but even more disappointed at how ill prepared I was. I thought I had everything covered but lets just say tape can’t fix everything. Eitherway, no big deal…Learn from your mistakes and move forward!
The most fun was after the con when Chris, Garth, Ben, and Myself would hit the town for some food and beverage. Those guys were a fucking blast to hang out with and hope we can continue our escapades at Otakon.
Anyway, maybe I’ll create a convention report page like back in the day so I can talk a little more about some of the more interesting things of the weekend. Trust me…there were plenty! And no Kris that wasn’t Roy Mustang!
