So that sun symbol is supposedly of substantial significance… I wonder what it means…

A remarkably open and well-lit throne room, I wonder if she’s supposed to get one of those two chairs at the king’s side? And Naria? Guess it’s time to see how good El is at acting.

What I don’t get is why there are lit torches in a room with huge windows letting in sunlight, in the middle of the day.

Because it’s more imposing and grand, that’s why. That’s the design principle behind most throne-rooms. Make it look bigger, more expensive and more humbling to anyone who isn’t the king.

“How can I make my throneroom look even more imposing and grand than all the others? Large imposing pillars? Check. Large expensive tapestry hanging in the middle of the wall? Check. Torches in daylight to proclaim how wealthy and grand I am? Double Check.”

Mind you, the throne could use a little work. It’s elevated, that’s good, but it need’s to have a large, ornamented design…
