As much as I would like Riley to do something BA, let’s face it. Unless we have a training montage, I don’t see how he could drastically affect any sort of life or death situation. Besides taking an arrow or something, I suppose, which takes more guts then training I’d think.

HAHA…I never thought this filler pic would get a comment or inspire a conversation. Anyway, to at least defend Riley a bit, he did hold that Monster at bay for a bit back on page 51, but he also instantly regretted that decision :)

Riley is a nice guy, but that won’t win a sword duel or laser fight. And yes, it was brave of him to stand up to… whatever that was. If only briefly. But he could not have ACTUALLY done anything about it, had it come down to fighting.

Not that I’m hinting I would like to see sword duels or laser fights. I wouldn’t do to that to you.

Looks like a wind-up for a dragon punch

I’d have to say Riley strikes me as the true meek hero. I mean, he talks tough, he’s got a kind heart, his head’s in the right place, and he’s doing this to save the woman he loves. I think of him as more of a hero than most other comic’s heroes.
